Medellín Fashion Film Festival
Medellín Fashion Film Festival was the first festival of its kind in the city. A cultural event that allowed the country's audiovisual and fashion industries to come together in a space where they could build new relationships and learn about the state of the art in local, national and international fashion short film production.
Functions: co-foundation, communications coordination, conceptual planning and production support.
The Festival was a platform designed to promote the use of new formats in fashion communication and was framed by several academic, cultural and entertainment activities. The project was born as a response to the indisputable but still novel trend for the time of the increase in production and consumption of video content, which was made possible thanks to the irremediably widespread access to devices with internet access. This led the major fashion houses to make small, high-quality videos, but for a different, more immediate consumption. This was copied by other brands and aesthetic manifestations and the fashion film was born. Medellín Fashion Film Festival was the right platform to encourage the production of audiovisual pieces under this type of fashion marketing content. This allowed the city to strengthen this industry and in turn the creation of innovative content in formats that revolutionize digital platforms until today.
